Runnymedians can choose to study Economics only in the Sixth form. At this age, our pupils approach the subject with maturity and curiosity, keen to know more about the ins and outs of our economic systems. The Department provides a strong theoretical background to the subject as well as personalised and highly effective preparation for the A-level.
Our students engage with current issues: globalisation, the challenge of climate change, or the reasons behind the 2007 financial crash among others. To complement our pupil’s understanding of how global financial systems operate, the Economics Department has been known to organise trips to places such as Beijing and New York, where the world’s financial future is forged.
We offer Art GCSE and A-level.
