The school was established in the spirit of liberal humanism, which has always guided our educational philosophy. We believe in the inherent dignity of the individual, in the pursuit of truth through reason and inquiry, and in the formation of character alongside intellect. Equally, Runnymede has been built upon the supreme importance of family values. Our community thrives because of the close partnership between school and home, ensuring that pupils grow within an atmosphere of trust, support, and respect.Uniquely among the major British international schools in Spain, Runnymede remains proudly independent, not owned by a private group or investor. Pupils are encouraged to form opinions, to develop a critical language and a creative interpretation. From Year 7 we aim to open pupils’ eyes to view the world in a different way: to think, to feel and to reflect on their surroundings. But above all, to enjoy the subject itself. Confidence is built up through the constant process of drawing, and the simple pleasure of using and understanding processes and materials. The Art Department offers a welcoming atmosphere where pupils can explore their own ideas and personality as well as satisfy the requirements of the course. Our aim is for all students to develop creatively, independently and individually. They are given a balanced programme of art and design activities and are introduced to the work of artists, designers and craftsman, learning to use these influences to develop and inform their own practical work. The Art rooms are spaces where students can open their minds to other values and emotions - a place to be inspired, where students learn to respect, appreciate, give opinions and justify their own; a space to flourish, create the unexpected and develop artistic expression.... - Title: AAA-sin foto URL: https://runnymede-college.com/departments/senior-art-sin-foto/ Updated: 2025-05-30T09:20:11+00:00 Excerpt: Home Art Studying Art in Years 9 to 11 encourages creativity, individual expression, and visual communication. Our dedicated staff share their passion for the subject and at every turn highlight its relevance. We owe so much to these civilisations, with ancient ideas of philosophy, politics, maths and art forming the basis for our modern societies. Through the study of Classics in Key Stage 3, our pupils get a privileged chance to not only learn the languages that set the bedrock of our Modern Romance languages and academic-scientific terminology, but also the everyday life of the Roman and Ancient Greek times and the most significant intellectual accomplishments of the Ancient Greek and Romans. To really spark our student’s imagination, we take them to some of the most famous archeological sites in the world. The Year  7 trip to Mérida brings to life many of the different aspects of Roman life studied over the previous three terms. Apart from seeing the amazing public buildings such as the theatre, amphitheatre and the longest surviving Roman bridge, which are perhaps more obvious,... - Title: Library URL: https://runnymede-college.com/departments/library/ Updated: 2025-05-30T08:38:15+00:00 Excerpt: Home Library The Library plays a major role in supporting pupils’ studies, providing not only books and journals but also comprehensive advice on how to make the best use of online resources, and a quiet place in which to undertake individual research or group study. All pupils will spend a significant amount of time reading, studying, borrowing or returning books. The Senior School Library now contains over 25,000 books with carefully selected titles, chosen mainly to support the teaching and research at the School. New books will be provided for pupils throughout the year. The Library offers binding and laminating facilities. All are available for pupil use. Computers have been recognised as essential aids both in teaching and research. Although pupils can search along the shelves, the easiest way to find a book is by using the digital library catalogue. The Library also offers free access to the Internet, meaning more additional information for the pupils to gather for their needs. Since relatively few pupils have a firm idea of what to do after finishing school, the University Career Section (British and American), with a range of publications and prospectus, can help them plan their future providing advice and information.... - Title: Modern Languages URL: https://runnymede-college.com/departments/modern-languages/ Updated: 2025-05-30T08:38:46+00:00 Excerpt: Home Modern Languages Whilst relationships between countries, and indeed between regions, seem to be becoming ever more complex, it is clear that languages continue to be an essential part of the toolkit required to participate in the modern world effectively. Of course Runnymede parents and pupils have long been aware of this and the continuing enthusiasm for French at the school bears witness to this truth. What are these students hoping to gain from their French studies (apart from a grade to get them to a good university)? From our perspective, we hope they gain a lifelong love of language learning, an insight into francophone culture, and an ability to communicate with Spain’s neighbours. What they are also gaining is an important passport to find stimulating work, with language proficiency increasingly being used as a way to distinguish between job applicants. Runnymedians have throughout the years excelled at the study of French, with results showing it is one of our most successful departments. That being the case, the department has now embarked on the mission to also teach Italian as an IGCSE to those keen and abled students who complete their French IGCSE in a single year. The study of French provides students with a lifelong skill in communicating in a widely spoken language of continued global importance, and the experience of doing so opens students up to a different culture and gives them the tools necessary to learn other languages in the future. At A level the examination specifications demand that students use their language skills to respond to the world around them in a far more analytical way than previously. New structures and a more advanced vocabulary are required to support the more nuanced style of communication needed to express ideas clearly and subtly. Far greater use is made of authentic materials and students study history, literature and film to give them a broader sense of French culture and to give real context to their studies. Students have weekly sessions with the language assistant to practise their speaking.French is a popular subject at A level, combining effectively with all subjects to offer additional breadth in the humanities or a contrasting skill with the sciences... - Title: Sixth-form-further-Mathematics URL: https://runnymede-college.com/departments/sixth-form-further-mathematics/ Updated: 2025-06-02T11:46:30+00:00 Excerpt: Home Further Mathematics Students who achieve a grade A* or higher at IGCSE are eligible to study Mathematics AND Further Mathematics A levels (two A level qualifications). He knew the value of liberal, humanistic learning. He understood the power of British teaching to challenge and indeed change young people’s minds and lives for the better. That was his vision, and it remains his legacy. Specific deadlines for Oxford, Cambridge, and medical schools are on October 15th. Candidates should decide on their university choices between the last term of Year 12 and the first half term of Year 13. UCAS applications require a personalised teacher reference, grade submission and a personal statement written by the student.US Universities: For US universities, admission is based on academic records, school references, and admissions tests. This was a challenging year, when the UK government and exam boards indicated that they would be adjusting grade boundaries in order to align the results landscape more closely with that of the pre-pandemic summer of 2019. Nevertheless, we are pleased that our graduating Year 13s achieved 58% A*-A grades at A-level, and 97% A*- C. Although this represents a mandated dip since last year, it is very pleasing to see how impressively our students compare with those at schools in England, who obtained just 27% at A*-A, or 47% A*-C in independent schools like Runnymede.IGCSE results. Our pupils received 60% A*-A grades, with 98% of grades being A*- C. In England, 22% of students overall achieved A*-A equivalent grades, with 47% in the independent sector gaining those highest marks. Once again, therefore, it is gratifying to see how Runnymede pupils outperform their peers in the UK, highlighting both their determination and the exceptional skill of their teachers.    The infographic, contains the most important information: when all is said and done, what matters is where our pupil’s results enable them to pursue the next stage of their education.... - Title: video gallery URL: https://runnymede-college.com/academic/video-gallery/ Updated: 2025-03-13T09:39:59+00:00 Excerpt: Home Video gallery Video Gallery Early Years Foundation Stage Web Early Years Foundation Stage Web Early Years Foundation Stage Web RC KS2_6th May 2022 RC KS2_6th May 2022 RC KS2_6th May 2022 https://vimeo.com/773724211https://vimeo.com/755556988https://vimeo.com/755556988https://vimeo.com/773724211https://vimeo.com/755556988https://vimeo.com/755556988https://vimeo.com/773724211https://vimeo.com/755556988https://vimeo.com/755556988 Play Play Play Play Play Play - Title: Outstanding Learner Awards – Runnymede College URL: https://runnymede-college.com/2023_awards/ Updated: 2023-11-13T12:05:10+00:00 Excerpt: - Title: PRE-PREP URL: https://runnymede-college.com/pre-prep/ Updated: 2025-03-13T16:29:51+00:00 Excerpt: - Title: Life beyond the classroom URL: https://runnymede-college.com/pre-prep/life-beyond-the-classroom/ Updated: 2026-01-20T11:37:34+00:00 Excerpt: Home Life beyond the classroom Life Beyonds the Classroom At Runnymede College Pre-Prep, learning goes far beyond the classroom walls. Addition and Subtraction: Children are taught to use place value and number facts to add and subtract numbers mentally and they will develop a range of strategies to enable them to discard the ‘counting in 1s’ or fingers-based methods of Key Stage 1. In particular, children will learn to add and subtract multiples and near multiples of 10, 100 and 1000, and will become fluent in complementary addition as an accurate means of achieving fast and accurate answers to 3-digit subtractions. Standard written methods for adding larger numbers are taught, learned and consolidated, and written column subtraction is also introduced. Multiplication and Division: This key stage is also the period during which all the multiplication and division facts are thoroughly memorised, including all facts up to 12 × 12. Efficient written methods for multiplying or dividing a 2-digit or 3-digit number by a 1-digit number are taught, as are mental strategies for multiplication or division... - Title: Key Stage 2 URL: https://runnymede-college.com/prep-school/key-stage-2/ Updated: 2025-02-28T21:31:32+00:00 Excerpt: Home Key Stage 2 The four years that a child spends in Key Stage 2 will be among some of the most formative in that child's life. It is designed not simply to cover content, but to shape young minds — to cultivate curiosity, confidence and a genuine love of learning from the earliest years of prep school through to the end of Year 8.We are proudly academic, and we take great care in securing strong foundations in English, Maths and core knowledge. However, we are equally clear that education at this stage must be broad, humane and balanced. Children learn best when they feel known, challenged and inspired, and our curriculum reflects this belief at every level.Teaching at Runnymede Prep is purposeful and intellectually engaging, but never narrow. We care deeply about our pupils, and our pastoral provision is built around the belief that children thrive best when they feel safe, understood and genuinely cared for. Our Form Teachers work closely with the Pastoral Team to ensure that each child is well supported, and weekly assemblies provide a moment to come together as a community — celebrating effort and achievement, reinforcing shared values and reminding pupils that they belong.Form time plays a central role in the life of the Prep School. Through PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education), pupils are encouraged to talk, think and reflect on the issues that matter to them as they grow. These sessions are deliberately age-appropriate and carefully guided, giving pupils the confidence to express their views, listen to others and engage respectfully in discussion. At the heart of this work are our core values of Kindness, Curiosity and Respect, which underpin the expectations we set and the relationships we nurture. We place great importance on developing character, helping pupils to make good choices, understand boundaries and learn from mistakes... - Title: Statements for Reports URL: https://runnymede-college.com/prep-school/statements-for-reports/ Updated: 2025-02-28T21:33:54+00:00 Excerpt: Home Statements for Reports Statements for Reports The statements you will see on your child's report are as follows: Exceeding the age expected level for the year Children exceeding the age expected level have progressed confidently and have mastered the knowledge and skills of a curriculum area. He reminded our graduates that true education is not about being told what to think, but about learning how to think, how to debate respectfully, and how to remain open to changing one’s mind when confronted with better arguments and evidence. He also emphasised the responsibility that comes with the exceptional opportunities our pupils enjoy: to use their talents not only for personal success, but in service of their communities. Our guest speaker, Gonzalo de la Vega (Old Runnymedian), shared an extraordinary personal journey that took him from being expelled from Runnymede as a teenager to helping build pioneering technology companies and ultimately standing on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. They could not have done more for us. - Title: Runnymede Smartphone Pact: Update Letter URL: https://runnymede-college.com/runnymede-smartphone-pact-update-letter/ Updated: 2026-05-18T14:58:05+00:00 Excerpt: Runnymede Smartphone Pact: Update Letter from Headmaster Frank Powell to Parents.https://runnymede-college.com/smartphone-free-childhood-bar-chart   - Title: Take a Runnymedian to Work 2026 URL: https://runnymede-college.com/take-a-runnymedian-to-work-2026/ Updated: 2026-05-11T11:24:23+00:00 Excerpt: We are extremely grateful to everyone who made it possible for all our Year 12 pupils to experience such a wide range of inspiring workplaces during this year’s Take a Runnymedian to Work Day—now in its fourth year. Pupils visited diverse environments across sectors including architecture, media and communications, engineering, finance, healthcare and veterinary services, manufacturing, insurance, law, real estate, and travel and tourism. The day was met with great enthusiasm, with pupils describing their experiences as incredibly insightful, thought-provoking, and inspiring. As they begin to consider future career pathways, the opportunity to step into real workplaces and hear from experienced professionals proved invaluable. Their conversations and feedback afterwards reflected the strong impact of these first-hand experiences. Some pupils shared their reflections:“This has been one of the most enriching opportunities I’ve ever had.”“I came out with a completely different perspective from the one I had going in.”“I was incredibly moved by how all the nurses, doctors, and technicians worked together as a team, and how they remained so positive despite the intensity of their work.” Pupils engaged fully throughout the day, asking thoughtful and perceptive questions—something echoed by several host organisations: “The students were engaged at all times and behaved... - Title: SHRECK – Prep School Edition URL: https://runnymede-college.com/shreck-prep-school-edition/ Updated: 2026-04-28T10:33:58+00:00 Excerpt: An amazing cast of actors, singers and dancers wowed audiences in the final week of the Spring Term with their performance of Shrek Jr. Sold out audiences for two performances enjoyed watching the stage interpretation of this hilarious and heartwarming adventure where a lovable ogre, a chatty donkey, and a fearless princess prove that beauty is more than skin deep. This leadership symposium was designed to bring together school Heads and SENDCos from schools around Europe, as a way of sharing good practice and building camaraderie in the District Europe sector. It was a privilege to welcome Sarah Greig, CEO of the Repton Group to be the Keynote Speaker for the Heads, and Dr Katharine Sharpe for the SENDCos. Delegates were treated to a day of lectures on leadership from different angles, solo music performances from 6 of Runnymede’s top Prep School musicians, a tour of the campus including the new Sports Zone, and a delicious traditional lunch of Jamón Ibérico, Paella and Cocido Madrileño. Our Sector (British Education in Europe) is very much in the thoughts of schools in the UK, and in the minds of parents considering new options. Many parents who have traditionally looked to the UK independent sector for its exceptional standards are now considering alternatives—whether because of the post-Brexit landscape, changes in mobility, or the financial pressures created by policy decisions the government might be making – such as VAT on school fees. Whatever the reasons, families are exploring... - Title: UPenn event at Runnymede College URL: https://runnymede-college.com/upenn-event-at-runnymede-college/ Updated: 2025-11-12T16:30:37+00:00 Excerpt: More than 200 people gathered in the Julia Powell Auditorium on Monday evening to attend a presentation by the University of Pennsylvania.Ms Jordan Pascucci, Vice Dean and Director of Admissions, gave pupils, parents and staff an informative overview of student life, the university’s values and the admissions process. She encouraged pupils to submit genuine applications that reflect their suitability not only for Penn’s academic standards but also for its community and city campus environment. Ms Pascucci explained that admissions decisions are based on a holistic review of all parts of an application — including personal statements, the gratitude section, references and academic results — rather than focusing solely on high test scores or heavily edited essays. During her remarks, Ms Pascucci invoked the words of the University of Pennsylvania’s founder, Benjamin Franklin: “When the world needs you, what will you become?” — a question that continues to inspire the university’s approach to education and personal growth. The talk concluded with a helpful question-and-answer session, during which Ms Pascucci reassured attendees that international students continue to be as welcomed as ever at leading US institutions.Afterwards, Mr and Mrs Juan Urdaneta kindly hosted parents and pupils at their home for the The Wharton School reunion. We would like to thank Ms... - Title: Smartphone Parent Pact 2025 URL: https://runnymede-college.com/smartphone-parent-pact-2025/ Updated: 2025-11-04T10:21:10+00:00 Excerpt: Dear Parents, As we approach the Christmas season, I am writing with a renewed and urgent appeal regarding the use of smartphones among our younger pupils. At this time of year, the pressure grows on families to purchase such devices as gifts. I ask you to resist that pressure and to join the Parent Pact if you have not already done so — a shared commitment not to buy your child a smartphone before the age of 16. Last year, support for this initiative was disappointingly low, with only 51% of parents of pupils in Pre-Nursery to Year 11 joining the Pact (75% Pre-Prep, 55% Prep, 11% Senior). I was genuinely saddened by the response, particularly given the overwhelming evidence of the harm early smartphone use inflicts on children. Smartphones interrupt the sustained focus and quiet thought that intellectual growth depends on. As Jonathan Haidt warns in The Anxious Generation (2024), “the smartphone rewired childhood,” replacing exploration and curiosity with “a dopamine-driven feedback loop of scrolling, posting, and comparison.” Instead of reading, thinking, or imagining, children are conditioned to crave constant stimulation. Every major study reaches the same conclusion: pupils who use smartphones heavily perform worse in school. Notifications, social media, and late-night screen use erode... - Title: Run-up to Half Term URL: https://runnymede-college.com/run-up-to-half-term/ Updated: 2025-10-24T14:25:04+00:00 Excerpt: It has been a most successful run-up to the half-term break, marked by a series of outstanding events and achievements across the Runnymede community. Team Runnymede Athletics delivered an exceptional performance at La Milla Escolar del Ayuntamiento de Alcobendas last weekend, achieving top results and securing multiple podium finishes. Their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship were exemplary. The school bake sale was another notable success, reflecting the generosity and collaborative spirit of our community. The initiative raised an impressive €6,141.67 in support of Fundacion Runnymede College. Our annual Cross Country event was enjoyed by pupils from across the school, who took part with great enthusiasm and effort. It was wonderful to see so many demonstrating determination and cheering on their peers throughout the races. We extend our sincere thanks to all pupils, staff, and parents whose efforts and enthusiasm contributed to the success of these activities, and we wish everyone a restful and enjoyable half-term break. - Title: UPenn visits Runnymede College URL: https://runnymede-college.com/upenn-visits-runnymede-college/ Updated: 2025-10-23T07:06:51+00:00 Excerpt: We are delighted to announce that The University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), a prestigious Ivy League university, has chosen Runnymede College to host their upcoming visit to Spain. The award ceremony, organised by AITIM, ONESTA, FSC Spain, and the Asociación Sostenibilidad y Arquitectura, took place at the University of Navarra. The jury commended the project “for the elegance and simplicity of the proposal, which extends from the overall form of the building to its most refined architectural and structural details, including the use of timber. The building integrates perfectly within its surroundings, managing both to stand out and to engage in dialogue with them.” This recognition is a testament to the architectural quality and thoughtful design that have shaped a space serving both as a library and as an examination hall — a setting for study, reflection, and community life within the school. Runnymede College extends its gratitude to RFS Arquitectos Luis Rojo de Castro, project manager Javier Alonso Gutierrez, and all those involved in bringing the project to fruition, as well as to the staff and pupils who bring the building... - Title: Runnymede College Model United Nations Conference URL: https://runnymede-college.com/runnymede-college-model-united-nations-conference/ Updated: 2025-10-03T13:55:11+00:00 Excerpt: This weekend, we proudly hosted Runnymede College’s first-ever Model United Nations (MUN) conference. The Sixth Form team led the initiative, preparing resources, setting debate topics, and ensuring everything was in place for a successful event. Our conference coincided with the United Nations gathering in New York, where high-stakes debates on today’s most pressing global challenges were taking place and questions about the organisation’s future raised. Headmaster Frank Powell invited participants to reflect on the words of the original United Nations Charter: “We the peoples of the United Nations, determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, established this Organisation to maintain international peace and security, to foster friendly relations among nations, to promote human rights, and to achieve international cooperation in solving global problems.” He reminded us, “Written in 1945, these words remain as urgent, resonant, and necessary today as ever.”We would like to thank Alicia Roig Gómez, Senior Advisor, Strategy and Risk Management at UNICEF, for her inspiring speech during the inaugurating ceremony, and Paloma Vora, former Head of Budget for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and Chief of Finance for UNICEF, for accompanying us throughout the event. A number of members of the Class of ’76 also joined the event. Present too, were Mike Sutcliffe and Mike Wilson who taught some of us maths and chemistry in the 1970s when the school was divide between Calle Arga and Calle Leizarán. A small number of us went back as far as José Rodriguez Pinilla, having joined the school in 1967 and 1968. It was a joyous occasion with much reminiscing and embracing. Although the majority of those present live in Spain, some had traveled from Thailand, Egypt, US and UK. All those present received mementos which had been beautifully designed and produced by various members of the class and the school received a commemorative plaque. We parted with promises of meeting again soon. At the very latest, we hope to see them at the 50th Anniversary reunion of the Class of ’76 on September 26th 2026! Once again, Runnymede is performing well above the standard of private schools in the United Kingdom, a reassuring measure of the strength and consistency of our academic tradition.Mathematics remains a particular hallmark of the school: an impressive average of 76% A or A* in IGCSE Mathematics, together with the steady growth of Further Mathematics at A Level (achieving 92% A or A* grades), confirms Runnymede’s reputation as a true mathematical powerhouse. Strong results across the curriculum, moreover, ensure that our pupils leave us exceptionally well prepared for demanding courses, especially in STEM disciplines.University admissions have been equally gratifying. Our pupils have earned places at leading institutions on both sides of the Atlantic. This year one student has secured admission to Harvard University – the second Runnymede graduate to do so in only three years – a remarkable achievement by any standard. Ivy League destinations sit proudly alongside University of Oxford and University of Cambridge, while Carnegie Mellon University and Berklee College of Music stand out for their breadth of academic and creative opportunity. The day began with an inspiring keynote from Nacho Vazquez (Class of 2017), who reflected on his academic and professional journey since leaving school. He encouraged pupils to remain open-minded, build meaningful connections, and “burst their bubble” - advice that perfectly captured the spirit of the day: stepping outside comfort zones, learning from others, and embracing challenge. Next, our Head Pupils, Chloe and Borja, hosted a panel with recent graduates from the Class of 2025 - Ines, Berta, and Mathilda. Together, they shared their Sixth Form experiences, offered practical tips on university applications, and reflected on life beyond school. Pupils then set off in their tutor groups for a series of missions across Madrid. These included a historical hunt, a visit to the Museo Arqueológico Nacional (MAN), interviews with members of the public to collect life lessons, creative tasks, team-building challenges, and tackling university-style admissions questions. By the end of the morning, Ms McCormack’s tutor group emerged as champions, earning themselves a celebratory lunch with Mr Powell at the iconic Círculo de Bellas Artes. The night was filled with thought-provoking speeches, proud moments, and cherished Runnymede traditions. The speeches reminded our graduating pupils that this occasion marks not just an end, but a commencement, or the start of a marathon. Mr Frank Powell urged pupils to abide by their principles and be uncompromising in defending them. Quoting Edmund Burke, he reminded us: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” A lasting legacy of this class is the establishment of Fundacion Runnymede College, a testament to their values and impact. Mr Avinash Sukhwani encouraged pupils to work hard early in their careers, to not let rejection define them, and to explore “exotic careers” or try different paths until they find the right one. He also reminded us that personal happiness lies in time spent with family and friends. The evening continued with Prize Giving, celebrating academic excellence, sporting achievements, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, and special graduation gifts. A drinks reception brought together families, friends, and staff, followed by a tree-planting ceremony - symbolising the roots of the Runnymede spirit and the growth ahead. A delightful dinner with pupils... - Title: Upcoming Campus Developments URL: https://runnymede-college.com/upcoming-campus-developments/ Updated: 2025-06-17T14:26:22+00:00 Excerpt: We are pleased to announce the next phase of campus developments which will begin this summer, focusing on the expansion and improvement of sports and recreational facilities. Parents, staff, and Old Runnymedians enjoyed an afternoon of food, drinks, and live music, while pupils delighted in Mrs Powell’s giant water slide and had a go at the funfair games. Mr Bailey announced the winners of the raffle, who took home a range of impressive prizes, kindly donated by Runnymede parents. The raffle and uniform / merchandising sales raised an outstanding €19.193 for Fundacion Runnymede College. It was great to see María and Ariadna—the Foundation’s first two scholarship recipients—volunteering at the event and personally expressing their gratitude to the community for its ongoing support. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all parents, staff, and Old Runnymedians for their generosity. - Title: Smartphone Parent Pact URL: https://runnymede-college.com/smartphone-parent-pact/ Updated: 2025-06-06T13:45:31+00:00 Excerpt: Dear Parents, After the groundswell of support received my drive mobile phones, social media and, more recently,  my drive to promote the limited use of iPads and screens at school, I am writing to ask you to go further. In line with expert advice and common sense, I am seeking to dissuade parents from buying their children smart phones before they are sixteen. It is obvious to me that many of you are reluctant to take a stand against smart phones for fear your child will be deprived and singled out. There are so many of you who feel the same way, that it is  no less obvious that what is lacking is communication and coordination. What I propose is that you sign an anonymous Parent Pact, giving an undertaking not to buy your child a smart phone at least until they are in Year 12. If your child already has a smart phone, why not change it for a dumb phone with no internet connection and then sign the Parent Pact? There will be a live percentage of signatures per Year group published on the school web. The display will be completely anonymous—no names or personal data will be... - Title: Senior School Prize Giving 2025 URL: https://runnymede-college.com/senior-school-prize-giving-2025/ Updated: 2025-06-05T11:26:50+00:00 Excerpt: This year’s Prize Giving ceremony was a fitting tribute to the values that lie at the heart of a Runnymede education: academic excellence, intellectual merit, and personal integrity. In his address, Headmaster Frank Powell emphasised the vital role of ability, effort, and good fortune in shaping future success, and reaffirmed the School’s commitment to a liberal, independent education rooted in choice and high standards. We were especially proud to recognise Lucía LJ a truly distinguished pupil who will go on to read Geography at the University of Oxford. The occasion also marked the achievements of the Fundacion Runnymede College, which is enabling exceptional local students to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom. It was an inspiring morning, celebrating the very best of our school community.
