Year 13s have been learning about the properties of acids and using their titration skills to investigate their properties in more depth. Chemistry students missed out on various practicals during the lockdown so they are delighted to be able to get back into the labs. For this particular experiment, pupils investigated the acidic constant of ethanoic acid using titrations.
Our Year 8s, also having returned to practical work, started with an experiment to find the melting point of stearic acid (wax) and investigating heating and cooling. We are thrilled to see our pupils using practical experiments to enrich their learning again!
