As we welcome in 2018 and brace ourselves for the term ahead, we would like to take the opportunity to look back at the end of the 2017.
The last week of term was brimming with fun activities to get the students into the Christmas spirit. The pupils were given the opportunity to wear a Christmas jumper for a day to raise money for our charity, Kubuka, an opportunity which many of the teachers and staff also jumped at.
The Junior School also created a calendar and managed to raise a fantastic 5000 euros.
Some of the Year 6 and all Senior Schools pupils got involved in a little Christmas card design; each year created a large colourful card full of personal messages for pupils at the Malota School in Zambia.
Students were also encouraged to think about those who might not be lucky enough to have a warm meal over the Christmas period and bring in items for a food bank organised by a local charity.
Finally, the week was then topped off with a carol concert for Years 3 to 11. Many parents attended and the pupils braved the cold to sing their hearts out, enjoying a bit of chocolate con churros before heading home for the holidays.
