Last Friday Runnymede welcomed a very special guest, OldRunnymedian and two time Paralympian Dani Caverzaschi, to share his story of success in competitive tennis and all the challenges encountered getting there.
Pupils learnt about the dedication required to become a successful competitive athlete, and the challenges of juggling both school and sport.
Dani reminded pupils that they do not necessarily need to give up sports or studies to be successful in one but rather should focus on timemanagement and realise that sacrifices must be made to achieve our goals.
Thank you Dani for this interesting and inspiring talk which was thoroughly enjoyed by both pupils and staff. We wish you all the best for your preparation for Tokyo2020!
