Last week, 12 students from both the Senior School and the Junior School took part in the second round of the prestigious Interschools Golf Tournament, organised by the Federación Madrileña de Golf. The sun shone while Runnymede pupils competed against international schools from all around Madrid and, despite the heat, both their behaviour and their performance were top class.
One of the three Runnymede teams secured fourth place in their category, whilst Runnymede came out second overall, taking into account points won in previous rounds.
Congratulations to all the golfers, and a special mention to Borja A. in Year 7 who was named the best player and won the trophy for the best handicap on a short route. Well done, Borja.
We look forward to continuing to compete in such prestigious competitions at el Campo de Golf Olivar de la Hinojosa (Madrid).
