Once again the pupils, staff and parents have contributed to a really successful World Book Day in the Junior School. Many of the costumes were outstanding and through activities in every classroom and assemblies in each Key Stage, a love of reading and books has been well and truly celebrated and promoted.
The children in the winning costumes in KS1 and KS2 have received book tokens to buy a book of their choice.
In the FS each class has chosen a book to purchase and enjoy altogether.
A drawing competition was launched for Years 3 to Year 6, they have a week to design a cover for any Roald Dahl book of their choice.
The teachers and staff have exchanged paper backs and the children in KS1 also brought books to swap.
In doing so we have raised a little more money for Kubuka and the school in Zambia. Well done to everyone involved!
