Last week, Year 7 students were taken back in time by the Classics and History departments. They started their journey in Roman Mérida, where they saw all the famous buildings like the theatre and the bridge, and some lesser known corners of the town.
As always it was a great experience for them: lots of fresh air, some free time to be with their friends, staying in a hotel without their parents - and learning about the Romans.
Yet it didn't stop there. The next stage of their journey was the Medieval town and castle of Atienza.
This beautiful old town offered the chance to deepen their understanding of Medieval castle developments and warfare, which they have studied this year, and enjoy another day of fun and fresh air. Thanks to all the teachers who helped!
