We are pleased to share with you the enclosed infographic, which highlights some of the outstanding achievements of our pupils this year. Once again, Runnymede is performing well above the standard of private schools in the United Kingdom, a reassuring measure of the strength and consistency of our academic tradition.Mathematics remains a particular hallmark of the school: an impressive average of 76% A or A* in IGCSE Mathematics, together with the steady growth of Further Mathematics at A Level (achieving 92% A or A* grades), confirms Runnymede’s reputation as a true mathematical powerhouse. Strong results across the curriculum, moreover, ensure that our pupils leave us exceptionally well prepared for demanding courses, especially in STEM disciplines.University admissions have been equally gratifying. Our pupils have earned places at leading institutions on both sides of the Atlantic. This year one student has secured admission to Harvard University – the second Runnymede graduate to do so in only three years – a remarkable achievement by any standard. Ivy League destinations sit proudly alongside University of Oxford and University of Cambridge, while Carnegie Mellon University and Berklee College of Music stand out for their breadth of academic and creative opportunity. Within the UK, three pupils will be joining Oxbridge, thirteen are bound for University of St Andrews, and many others have been admitted to The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Imperial College London, UCL, University of Bath, and University of Warwick.
In Spain, a clear shift is evident: more of our pupils are now choosing ICAI over ICADE, and IE University has established itself as the Spanish university of preference among our leavers. By contrast, the earlier enthusiasm for universities in the Netherlands appears to have waned entirely. It is equally heartening to see five of our pupils pursuing medicine – a demanding yet deeply rewarding path of service.
Examination results and university destinations are, of course, not the whole story. They are, however, powerful evidence of the hard work and talent of our pupils, the dedication of their teachers, and the steadfast support of parents. Together, they bear witness to the values and aspirations that define Runnymede and extend well beyond the classroom.
We trust that this infographic provides both a clear picture of our pupils’ success and reassurance that Runnymede continues to offer an education of the very highest calibre.
