Yesterday, Runnymede College had the honor of welcoming His Excellency, the British Ambassador to Spain, Sir Alex Ellis, to campus.
The ambassador was greeted by Headmaster Frank Powell before embarking on a comprehensive tour of the school, led by our Head Pupils.
The visit began with a glimpse into our Phonics sessions in the Pre-Prep, followed by a walk through the colourful EYFS playground. The tour continued to our new Prep School building, where he observed a Year 5 Science class in action and enjoyed watching Drama workshops, both in and around the Performing Arts Studio.
He then witnessed part of a rehearsal for The Sound of Music before exploring the Senior School’s Science labs and the creative works in the Art Department. The visit concluded with a stop at the Julia Powell Sports Hall to observe a P.E. lesson and a tour of the Frank Murphy Memorial Library.
We are very grateful for the ambassador’s visit and the opportunity to showcase our school community and facilities.
