We are delighted to share highlights from this year’s Sixth Form Summit, held in the heart of Madrid.

The day began with an inspiring keynote from Nacho Vazquez (Class of 2017), who reflected on his academic and professional journey since leaving school. He encouraged pupils to remain open-minded, build meaningful connections, and “burst their bubble” – advice that perfectly captured the spirit of the day: stepping outside comfort zones, learning from others, and embracing challenge.

Next, our Head Pupils, Chloe and Borja, hosted a panel with recent graduates from the Class of 2025 – Ines, Berta, and Mathilda. Together, they shared their Sixth Form experiences, offered practical tips on university applications, and reflected on life beyond school.

Pupils then set off in their tutor groups for a series of missions across Madrid. These included a historical hunt, a visit to the Museo Arqueológico Nacional (MAN), interviews with members of the public to collect life lessons, creative tasks, team-building challenges, and tackling university-style admissions questions.

By the end of the morning, Ms McCormack’s tutor group emerged as champions, earning themselves a celebratory lunch with Mr Powell at the iconic Círculo de Bellas Artes. Congratulations to the winning team, who triumphed by working collaboratively, drawing on each member’s strengths, and rising confidently to every task.

In the afternoon, pupils embarked on independent museum missions, choosing cultural institutions across the city to explore. This activity encouraged curiosity and self-direction, while also reminding pupils of the extraordinary opportunities available right on their doorstep in Madrid.

We hope the Summit left sixth formers with stronger connections, sharper skills, and an appreciation of the opportunities around them.
