Last week, a group of 16 Prep School pupils led by Duncan Bailey and Manuel Powell Rodriguez travelled to Italy to take part in the 2024 IAPS Ski competition at Ponte di Legno. This was Runnymede’s first ever participation in the event and the Team has come back having won more medals than any of the other 20 schools!
Alicia L and Sara R won the individual gold in the Giant Slalom event where our girls, boys and mixed teams were also very successful!
The educational value of taking part in an athletic competition, more so when it is abroad against other schools, cannot be emphasised enough. We are very grateful to IAPS for the invitation and look forward to future sporting events!
