We were delighted to host our very first Sixth Form Summit last Friday in the beautiful setting of La Granja de San Ildefonso.
The day began with a warm welcome and the chance to connect over breakfast at the Parador conference centre. This was followed by insightful presentations from representatives of Imperial College, LSE, and UCL, who shared valuable advice on university life and guided students through the application process. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and gain clarity about their academic futures.
The summit continued in the picturesque setting of the palace and its gardens, where students participated in a series of intellectual and creative challenges. These tasks tested their knowledge in classics, geography, history, mathematics and the sciences, while also encouraging creativity through poetry and drawing. Each form competed eagerly for the prize—an exclusive lunch at the Parador. Our sixth formers showcased excellent teamwork, approaching each challenge with enthusiasm, creativity, and skill. Special congratulations to Mr. Hornshaw’s form, who earned the winning title and enjoyed a well-deserved celebratory lunch.
We were fortunate to have a crisp and bright autumn day, perfect for exploring the stunning grounds. It was a memorable experience, and we were delighted to see the sixth formers engage so enthusiastically throughout.
