After 26 years of dedicated service to Runnymede College, Mr Walter has retired, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy.
For more than two decades, Jon inspired generations of pupils through his passion for History, his unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the exceptionally high standards he set, both as a teacher and as Head of Department.
A true scholar, Jon’s love of books, learning and intellectual curiosity also found a natural home in our library, where he made an invaluable contribution as Assistant Librarian.
Throughout his time at Runnymede, Jon embodied the qualities we value most: loyalty, integrity, professionalism, kindness and an unwavering devotion to his pupils. His influence on our school community will be felt for many years to come.
Jon, thank you for everything you have given to Runnymede. It has been a privilege to have you as a colleague, teacher and friend.
We wish you a long and happy retirement. You will always be part of the Runnymede family, and you will be greatly missed.
