As a school rooted in British history and culture, Runnymede College was deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Ⅱ. She inspired staff and students alike with her steadfast calm, resilience and dignity.
It was one of the great honours in the life of our school’s founder, Mr Arthur Powell, to be made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace in 1994.
This morning the school observed a minute’s silence in memory of the Queen.
