2020/21 was yet another outstanding year for Runnymede in terms of exam results and university admissions.
83% of our pupils achieved A*-A at IGCSE and 74% at A Level, with 83% and 80% obtaining A* or A grades in Mathematics and Further Mathematics respectively.
Most of our graduates choose to study in the UK, Spain or the US, although other destinations such as France, Switzerland and the Netherlands are also considered.
In the graduating class of 2021, two of our pupils accepted places at Cambridge, one at St Andrews, three at LSE, three at Imperial College London, five at Bath and eleven at UCL. Four of this year’s graduates have gone on to study in the United States: one at Columbia, one at Pennsylvania and two at Boston University.
Several Runnymede graduates from the Class of 2021 have accepted places at prestigious institutions in Spain such as ICADE, IE and Navarra, and top universities in Switzerland (École hôtelière de Lausanne) and the Netherlands (Leiden, Utrecht and Eindhoven).
The varied degree paths selected by Runnymede graduates are a testament to the broad range of subjects they have been exposed to at the school. While degrees in Business and Management remain the most popular, at 16% of all the degrees chosen, this is closely followed by degrees in Engineering (11%), Biomedical Sciences (8%), Economics and Sociology (both at 6%). Law and Modern Languages were the most popular humanities subjects, at 4% each, while a further 4% have chosen to study a degree in Art or Design.
