Examination Results

Sixth formers are encouraged to work consistently hard over the two years, so as to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle any assessment they may face. This puts them in a strong position when doing their final exams. We are delighted with the examination results achieved by our sixth formers, and thrilled with the fantastic range of leading universities at which our graduating classes study.

University Applications

We actively encourage students to make the right choice regarding the courses and university destinations they apply to. They are encouraged to undertake super-curricular activities, in particular reading, to help them with their applications. How proactive they are is key to their success in the application process. Our dedicated Higher Education and Exams Officer provides official transcripts for all university systems worldwide, and offers guidance in conjunction with a highly experienced admissions team.

University Talks

We share key information with pupils about the university application process, and in particular try to explain the differences between the various countries our students apply to, including the UK, USA, Spain, elsewhere in Europe and beyond. We arrange visits from university representatives and host university fairs on our school’s premises (e.g. we have had representatives from Bath, LSE, St Andrews, UCL, Warwick, and many more visit us).

Work Experience

We run a ‘Take a Runnymedian to Work’ day to offer our sixth formers opportunities to get a feel for the working world. Summer placements are also available for students completing Years 11 and 12, giving our students opportunities to complete internships at businesses and NGOs in Spain and beyond. This can help them reflect on their future plans, as well as develop various transferable skills.
